Brief History of the Internet


The Internet today is a widespread information infrastructure. The Internet represents one of the most successful examples on the research and development of information infrastructure. The history of the Internet revolves around four different aspects. The first one is the early research on packet switching and ARPANET. Current research continues to expand the infrastructure in other ways such as performance, high-level functionality, and much more. Second, there is an operations and management part. The global and complex infrastructure aspect. The third aspect includes social. These results are based on the broad community of Internauts working together to create and also evolve the technology. Finally, the last aspect is commercialization. This results in a very effective transition of research results to be available for information infrastructure.

 

Methods of Communication

Social networking is communication through social media platforms to stay connected with family, friends, customers, you name it. Social networking has a social purpose, business purpose, or both. Some social media platforms include Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln, Instagram, TikTok, and many other platforms. Social networking has become very significant in many different aspects.

A webcast is a live video stream that includes both audio and video content. It is a video broadcast over the internet. This is a great way to communicate with others for personal, school, or business use. Podcasts are pre-recorded digital audio where people can download and listen from their phone, computer, tablet, or other devices. This is a great way to communicate over different topics. Most podcasts are created as an episodic series, but they can also be one-offs or sponsored episodes.


5. Streaming media

There are many companies turning to video because there are so many benefits. Some benefits include it saves time and money. No need to pay for their flights, hotel stay, dinner, etc just to meet with clients/customers. It also helps with crisis communication, it connects remote employees, the video chat is live, it increases corporate alignment, and it instills confidence in leadership skills.
